Time

As many of you know I am a very time conscious person. I like to know what time it is and I like to be on time, in fact it is difficult for me to be late. Knowing this you will better be able to understand the following.

Everyday I drive the same route to work, I try to leave at the same time (7:35) and arrive the same time. And so I gauge if I am on time by all the electronic clocks I drive by. (I would use my car clock, but I can't seem to figure out how to set it.) And so the first two clocks I drive by are within 100 yards of each other. The first one says 7:49 and the one right behind it says 7:42. Now being that they are so close and I can see them at the same time, I do not believe there to actually be a 7 minute lapse. So as I continue my way through town I come to a clock across town, and it says 7:49. My belief is that none of these clocks are right, and I have come to an acceptance of this, as long as they all say these times when I drive by I will be on time.

And so I arrive at work and go inside, where all the clocks are once again different. There is a regular clock on the wall right in front of me, one on the computer, one on the phone, and one on my cell phone. For example if the one in front of me says 4:55 then the computer says 4:54, and the the phone says 4:57 and that means the time on my cell says 4:58.

So thanks to my new job I have had to come to a state of being less aware of the time for my own sanity. Not such a bad thing.

Noni Fun Fact: See first sentence.
