VBS Theory

This past week I had the joy of leading a group of 1st graders through Vacation Bible School. We jumped through the life of Paul and saw how to put our faith in motion. There was a lot of work and amazing people that went into making the Bible come alive for the kids. This is definitely one of my favorite parts of the summer.

And so as is every year I hold firm to the fact that kids are the most rowdy on Thursday or day 4. This is the day they become very comfortable with everything and aren't completely worn out. And this year was true once again. Now when I say this most people think that Friday or the last day is the craziest. Not so, on Friday they are all a little tired and somewhat ready to be done.

Regardless of this it is still an amazing week and so cool to see the kids pumped up for Jesus. It always opens my eyes, the kids are so uninhibited, they don't care what their singing sounds like or how their dancing looks. And like those kids I need to be more free in my worship.

Also noteworthy, we sang the song Big House and somehow they managed to merge it with Mmmbop. It was an experience.

Also want to throw a shout-out to my amazing dad, what an amazing example of God's love here on earth.

Fantastic

I've been wanting to post this blog for about 4 days now, but haven't had the time. I think some of you may know what's coming.

Oklahoma. Quite a nice state I realized this last weekend when I visited some of my fantastic family. I learned some of the keys to taking fantastic photos and enjoyed girl time with my aunt and experienced the 12 hour sale where you can buy 24 bags of chips, 16 cases of pop, and 16 packages of cheese all for less than $100. Also there's a QT on every corner, expect for one, and there you can get a fantastic 32oz pop for only 64 cents.

But here is my beef with Oklahoma: the drivers. I mean seriously, if the speed limit is 65, why are we driving 55? There must be an unwritten rule that Oklahomans must drive at least 5 under the speed limit. Now I want you know there was no extreme weather and there were multiple cars with this problem.
And so at this point I am thankful that my relatives that live in Oklahoma are from Kansas and can properly drive.

Noni Fun Fact: My favorite accessories are sunglasses and socks. I like to match them to my outfit everyday.

crazy people

Some things are just redic.

For instance, today at work I noticed there was an advisement on my stapler to read the manual before using the stapler. Now here's the problem, I have used the stapler many times before I even saw that I was to read the directions first. So hopefully I have been properly using it. At this point I do have to admit that when I was young I did staple my thumb, but I'm pretty sure that even if I'd had a manual to read first it still would have happened.

Upon mentioning this to my coworker, she states there is a warning on her straightening iron not to use it on eyelashes. Redic, who in their right mind would put something that is 200 plus degrees near their eye to try and get their eyelashes straight? In the first place don't people desire curved lashes? And in the second how would a person even think to do that?

But truely I do feel bad for the people who are the causes for such warnings and appreciate that they have done it to keep others from such a fate. And I do hope they've learned their lesson.

Noni Fun Fact: I have a hard time spelling the word ridiculous, and so prefer just saying/typing redic instead.
