Twice a year our bodies get a little bit confused thinking it's an hour earlier or an hour later than our clocks say and we all complain for a week about how we think Daylight Savings Time is stupid, especially in this day and age. And this year was no differnt for me, I griped and complained to no avail, Daylight Savings Time still happened and I had no control over it. But this year one of my clocks has rebelled to springing forward. Everytime I set it by the next morning it is an hour behind when I wake up. And so the clock shall stay this way in it's rebellion (at least until I get a new battery so it starts working properly).
Also at the grocery store yesterday I got some KoolAid Bursts. I love me some KoolAid!
Noni Fun Fact: The thing I like most about spring is the rain and thunderstorms it brings.
Bonus Noni Fun Fact: I really like to shred paper, a lot.

amazement
God never ceases to amaze me. I know He is Awesome and knows just what I need exactly when I need it, even when I'm being stubborn. And here's what just happened.
I was getting ready for bed and turned on my Celine Dion Pandora station. Several songs played and then as I finish up my devotional for the night the song Here I Am to Worship comes on. I've never had this song or any like it play on this station before. But it's just what I needed to hear right now. How Awesome is that? It's just cool that God can use something simple as Pandora.
And yes I realize I've been slacking on these the last couple of posts.
Noni Fun Fact: I would like to sleep outside on a roof again.

my new acquaintance: the ditch
This has been quite an eventful week for me. But I'm just going to share one these events.
A typical Monday morning, except for I was headed to the dentist and it had been snowing right before. And because of the warmth it was slushy.
Now as I was driving the speed limit the roads did not seem slick at all, until I hit a slick spot, my car did a 360 spin on the road and slid sideways into the ditch still facing forward. My car did not hit anything and I was perfectly fine. It definitely shook me up, but I felt blessed that I could walk away from it.
There were several people that saw it happen. A lady made sure I was ok, then a guy wearing a Riley County EMS jacket stopped to make sure I was ok. And then a cute guy with a truck and a chain stopped and offered to help out. He basically dug my car out of the snow so we could get it to the point his truck could back down without sliding and get me back on the road. I am so thankful that he was willing to help me for 20 plus minutes.
It is truly a miracle that my car didn't hit anyone or anything and I was able to just walk away. God is good. All the time.

oil+oven=smoke
This evening I was going to bake cookies. Key word there is was. So in usual fashion I began mixing the dough and remembered I needed to get the oven preheating. So I I turned it on. I feel I should mention I have a gas stove at this point. As I continued mixing the dough I felt like my eyes were getting a little foggy, I atributed this to the fact I have recently felt my eyes were not seeing as clear as they should (worry not, I have an appt scheduled with my eye doctor). As I looked more I realized it was smoke, from the oven. And then I remembered last time I used my oven it did the same thing because oil got on the bottom and forgot to clean it at the time. And so with smoke detectors going off, all of them in my house are connected, I opened the door, turned on the vent, and started the ionizer. Needless to say my cookie baking turned into oven cleaning. So no cookies, but a much cleaner less smokey oven.

Happy March
It's March. How crazy is that? Seems like the year just started. And since I started with happy, I'd like to continue the happiness with a post about things that make me happy.
-The Bible app on my droid. It makes accessing and searching the Bible so easy and fun.
-Cooking. I like creatiing something that tastes so good, and as I've grown up my tastes have matured and I'm enjoying lots of new food.
-My yellow sunglasses. I know some people think they're dorky but I love wearing them.
-Coffee. There are so many varieties and ways to drink it, how can it not be fun?
-Scrapbooking. I love taking pictures and paper and telling a story.
-My family. Enough said.
-Candles. It's like a contained fire that I get to play with.
So these are just a few of the things that make me happy, and because these are mostly facts about me, today there will be no Noni Fun Fact.
