Recently I have been doing some stargazing. I have a pretty great
spot near my house to do this. It is so peaceful to lay there and just gaze at
God's beautiful creation, there is no way to deny His majesty.
And because of this recent interest in stars and being outside at
night, I can now identify Mars, mostly because of its reddish glow. Also I know
which ones are airplanes because they move quickly and flash. And of course
Orion is obvious. But this is where my beef with constellations comes in.
Let me explain. They are just dots in the sky, they are amazing
dots, but dots nontheless. How can you say, oh I see a bear in those stars, or
if you correctly connect the dots this one looks like a man. Except it doesn't,
it looks like a kite. So my theory is that really you could see anything by
connecting any of the stars. And that is why I don't like the idea of
constellations. Triangles, rectangles, or any other geometric shape I get, but
a scorpion or a man I just don't get it.
Noni Fun Fact: Sometimes I enjoy listening to Boy Band music.
