Grocery Store

I have found there are two really bad times to go to the grocery store. The first is when I am feeling really hungry, I want everything, and everything looks good. This is the time I buy 5 packages of cookies, make sure I get some ice cream, and buy some candy bars. I want to make sure I am stocked. The other is when I am really hungry and nothing sounds good. I walk through the store and everything looks okay, but I know I won't actually eat it. And so I end up with lots of frozen food I don't really want.  It seems lately everytime I go to the store I am at one of these two extremes. And so I either waste or drastically overspend on things people don't ever need.

So I think I'll make it a goal for myself to at least every other time I go to the store this next year to be in the middle. I think this will make for a more satisfying experience and one that won't be dreaded each time I go.

I also plan to look for some new recipes to cook. I love cooking and haven't done as much of it lately as I'd like to and would like to try something new. So if you have recipes you'd like to share I'd love to try them.  And here's a list of things I don't like (in case you do share some recipes): pork, corn, peas, tuna, any form of beans except green, and cooked carrots. When my parents read this they'll both be able to add several things to the list, but that's all I can think of for now.

And can I just add how thankful I am to be able to actually go to the store whenever I want and buy whatever I want. What a blessing.

Noni Fun Fact:  I really like beef. (It's what's for dinner)
