my new acquaintance: the ditch

This has been quite an eventful week for me. But I'm just going to share one these events.

A typical Monday morning, except for I was headed to the dentist and it had been snowing right before. And because of the warmth it was slushy.
Now as I was driving the speed limit the roads did not seem slick at all, until I hit a slick spot, my car did a 360 spin on the road and slid sideways into the ditch still facing forward. My car did not hit anything and I was perfectly fine. It definitely shook me up, but I felt blessed that I could walk away from it.
There were several people that saw it happen. A lady made sure I was ok, then a guy wearing a Riley County EMS jacket stopped to make sure I was ok. And then a cute guy with a truck and a chain stopped and offered to help out. He basically dug my car out of the snow so we could get it to the point his truck could back down without sliding and get me back on the road. I am so thankful that he was willing to help me for 20 plus minutes.

It is truly a miracle that my car didn't hit anyone or anything and I was able to just walk away. God is good. All the time.
